This week 111 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 39 were first timers and 15 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 18 different clubs took part.

We had visitors from Denmark & the U.K.,  amongst the U.K. contingent, Scott from St. Albans chose Tøyen to complete his 250th parkrun, and Commeletia from London added Tøyen as her 50th different parkrun.

The female record is held by Delphine POIROT who recorded a time of 19:32 on 9th December 2017 (event number 16).
The male record is held by Thomas ASGAUTSEN who recorded a time of 16:08 on 6th October 2018 (event number 46).
The Age Grade course record is held by Runar SAETHER who recorded 84.14% (16:36) on 4th May 2019 (event number 71).

Tøyen parkrun started on 26th August 2017. Since then 1,606 participants have completed 5,050 parkruns covering a total distance of 25,250 km, including 956 new Personal Bests. A total of 134 individuals have volunteered 707 times.

61842372_2052907134836317_462472268727975936_nAttendance was good at this week's parkrun, despite the iffy weather, with quite a few visitors from the UK. Luckily the rain held off until we got to the café! 75 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part. We were pleased to have a UK visitor who chose to do her 250th run with us.

Tøyen parkrun 25 May cancelled

Tøyen parkrun is cancelled on Saturday 25 May, as there is a festival on in the park. Festningen, Løvstien and, Stavanger are all on, and there are internal flights there. Dømmesmoen in Grimstad is also on, and is a 3 1/4 hour drive from here. A final option is Skatås in Sweden, which is a 3 hour drive from Oslo.

Another option if you’re in Oslo on Saturday is to take part in Ecotrail, with distances ranging from 10-80 km, through the forests and along the fjord.

This week 67 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 18 were first timers and 16 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.
