20th July 2019

This week 77 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 28 were first timers and 8 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.

Although it is still the holiday period in Norway we still had some regulars along with a few first timers and lots of tourists. One couple who came to Oslo in January and did our winter course in temperatures of -8C came back and enjoyed some warmer weather and nice views this time. We also had Ian and Eve from Macclesfield parkrun celebrating their 10 year parkrun anniversary. We had tourists from Sweden, UK, America, New Zealand, Australia, Belgium and Malaysia. Eve and Ian were celebrating their 10 years of parkrun. Afterwards it was lovely to see so many join us for coffee and cake at Handwerk Botanisk.

Tøyen parkrun #79

This Saturday we had visits from Stavropol, Russia and the UK. There were also personal bests for 12 persons, and 17 first timers. And afterwards we had cake at the cafe :)

We are doing Parkrun the three next weeks, and would love some more volunteers in the summer. Please contact us by mail or Facebook. The Parkrun 3. August and the 10. August is cancelled because of Øyafestivalen (a music festival in the park).
