Tøyen parkrun Event number 71 – May the Fourth be with you!

It was perfect conditions in Tøyenparken for Star Wars Day and our team of volunteers certainly enjoyed cheering on our very own Clone Trooper, Erling Mork, and photo bombing our first 3 finishers with the lightsabre.

Alistair Rutherford from Liverpool was our first finisher in a fantastic time of 16:35, closely followed by Runar Saether whose time of 16:36 took him to first position in our age graded league, and third across the line was Karol Kazikowski from Poland.

We welcomed a large group of parkrun tourists from Venice, Poland and various locations around the UK. Congratulations to Jack Rose who was visiting us from Leeds and completed his 100th parkrun!

In total 114 people ran, jogged and walked the course, and 27 recorded new Personal Bests which is a fantastic achievement. These included junior parkrunner Henrik Jørgensen who completed his 10th parkrun in a time of 18:51.
