Tøyen parkrun #57 – first run of 2019

Finally the conditions were good enough for us to put on our first run of 2019.  The course was a mixture of hard packed snow and granulated snow/ice mixed with grit/gravel. It was okay to run in regular shoes, but it seemed the really fast runners opted for studded shoes.  Fingers crossed the weather is kind to us so we don't have to cancel too often the rest of the winter.  A special mention to our volunteers that turn out in all weathers to enable the events to go ahead, we are requiring more volunteers in the coming weeks, so if you could consider volunteering please send us an email.

This week 57 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 10 were first timers and 1 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.
