Another hot a sunny morning for Tøyen parkrun #38. Despite the summer holidays we still had 54 people people that ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 19 were first timers including tourists from the UK, New Zealand and Hong Hong.
Even though conditions were hot and humid 10 parkrunners recorded new Personal Bests including Mike Halforty, Chris McCormick, Henrik Kvisgaard, Morgan Adolfsen, Paul Andreas Marchioro Ystad and Pedram Nadim.
It was great to see regular volunteer Steven Quince back at Tøyen and getting his legs moving again after recently becoming an Ironman at Haugesund.
We also has a good junior contingent taking part this week with Linus Burnage (JM 11-14), Rowan Williamson (JM 11-14), Martin Lund-Sørnes (JM 10), Allan Søyseth Kvisgaard (JM10), Magnus Lund-Sørnes (JM 10), Tom Manzotti (JM 10) and Daisy Manzotti (JW 10).
No parkrun for the next two weeks due to Øyafestivalen, but we are back again on Saturday 18th August and don’t forget our 1st anniversary parkrun on August 25th. Have a great couple of weeks and see you all again soon.
A big thank you to our volunteers that made this event happen:
Laura BAKKER • Runar SAETHER • Mark WHITE • Aud ØYGARDEN • Erling MORK • Anne Lise BUEERAT • Marek PUZNIAK
