Tøyen parkrun #31

Tøyen parkrun
Event number 31
2nd June 2018

The fantastic weather continued for Tøyen parkrun #31 and we welcomed 75 people who ran, jogged and walked the course.  It was a great mix of regulars, first timers and overseas visitors, and despite the heat 13 people recorded new Personal Bests.

The event was captured by MarekPuzniak who started but then abandoned his parkrun to take on the role of photographer – you can find all the great photos that Marek took on our Facebook page.  Thanks again Marek, and we hope that you will get the opportunity to run next time.

There were PBs for several of our regulars including Petter Sveen who came in first, Michal Brandebura, Marit Tørstad, Pedram Nadim, Elin Bekkebråten Sjølie and Helen Rist who was put through her paces by son Leo, 8 years old, who completed his second parkrun.

We had visitors from the UK, Australia and South Africa.  The Middleton family joined us from Horwich.  From Australia we had Jeff Gray and his son Zigge, for whom Tøyen was his 96th parkrun.  Carol Austin from Devon made Norway her 8th country in which she has taken part in a parkrun – next week will be her 150th parkrun which she plans to do at Haga.  Mark Pfaff from South Africa clocked up his 104th parkrun and 10th country.  We hope that all our visitors had a wonderful time, and we hope to be able to welcome you all again in the future.
