A beautiful sunny Spring day…

It was a beautiful sunny Spring day for Tøyen parkrun number 25 which meant a return to the original course.

Parkrun 23.04.2018

In total 52 people ran, jogged and walked the course, and it was great to see that 22 of those were first timers – we hope to see you again next week. We also welcomed overseas visitors from Poland and various parts of the UK. The ideal running conditions resulted in 10 new Personal Bests.

After the parkrun many of the participants, supporters and volunteers gathered at the Handwerk Botaniske café in the Botanical Gardens to enjoy some refreshments in the sun.

It was a great morning for today's event and equally great to see so many first timers and tourists here to enjoy our first real 'Spring' run. Perfect conditions and the results certainly showed it.

A first timer was our fastest male runner today with a very respectable 17:17 (I beleive that may be our 2nd quickest time), well done Henrik FLEISJE, and our first female runner was Christine WARLOE with a 23:38 and a new PB for Christine, well done.

There were also 9 first time parkrunners and 18 new PBs set (not including the first timers), so there's something in the air, and conditions will only get better.
