Tøyen parkrun 25 May cancelled

Tøyen parkrun is cancelled on Saturday 25 May, as there is a festival on in the park. Festningen, Løvstien and, Stavanger are all on, and there are internal flights there. Dømmesmoen in Grimstad is also on, and is a 3 1/4 hour drive from here. A final option is Skatås in Sweden, which is a 3 hour drive from Oslo.

Another option if you’re in Oslo on Saturday is to take part in Ecotrail, with distances ranging from 10-80 km, through the forests and along the fjord.

Tøyen parkrun Event number 71 – May the Fourth be with you!

It was perfect conditions in Tøyenparken for Star Wars Day and our team of volunteers certainly enjoyed cheering on our very own Clone Trooper, Erling Mork, and photo bombing our first 3 finishers with the lightsabre.

Alistair Rutherford from Liverpool was our first finisher in a fantastic time of 16:35, closely followed by Runar Saether whose time of 16:36 took him to first position in our age graded league, and third across the line was Karol Kazikowski from Poland.

We welcomed a large group of parkrun tourists from Venice, Poland and various locations around the UK. Congratulations to Jack Rose who was visiting us from Leeds and completed his 100th parkrun!
