With this being the Saturday of the special events weekend, we had loads of lovely tourists visiting us for our event #65, parkrunners from the UK, Germany, and Poland joining our locals in a morning of parkrun fun in the sunshine!
35 of today's 69 participants were first-timers to Nansenparken, of whom 5 were brand new to parkrun.
Huge congratulations to our regular Maria, who ran her 25th parkrun today!
Another impressive local achievement was made today by Ger, who set a new age-grading record for Nansenparken parkrun at 91.03%!
Two of our visitors reached a rather unsual milestone by Norwegian standards - they ran their 99th different event today, and celebrated with a 99 flake (a typical British ice cream and chocolate treat).
We also had a visit from a real-life viking! Nigel, event director of Neckarufer parkrun knows how to parkrun in style!
Don't forget that on Monday May 1st we'll to be back in Nansenparken, ready for start at 9.30.
This week 69 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 35 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 15 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 8 volunteers:
Christine IMBERT • Jo WARNOCK-HORN • Suzette LI • Elizabeth ACKLAM • Linn Jenssen ACKLAM • Anton Macé TALOS • Michael RICANEK • Sigrid RICANEK
