Two of our visitors reached a rather unsual milestone by Norwegian standards - they ran their 99th different event today, and celebrated with a 99 flake (a typical British ice cream and chocolate treat).

Nansenparken parkrun #64

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our 64th parkrun at Nansenparken!

It was a wet day, but the snow and ice had started to dissappear and we could finally get the signposts in the ground without drilling through frozen earth!

We had a couple of newcomers and one tourist, and are thrilled to keep growing. 43 people ran, jogged and walked the course. 10 had new PB's -- congratulations! Our regular runner Peter Tálos ran his 25th parkun.

Nansenparken parkrun #62

It was a glorious sunny Saturday morning this April 1st. Despite some unstable weather earlier in the week, the course was dry. We were able to put our tarp out on its normal place for the first time this winter after the ice had begun to clear!

It was the first day of the Easter holiday week, when many Norwegian flock to the mountains for parkski, so we were delighted to have 27 people walking, jogging and running the course at Nansenparken!

We welcomed two first-timers, and had a tourist visiting from far-away Syndey, Australia! 3 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different clubs took part. After parkrun a few of us gathered at Kaffebrenneriet for their delicious Easter bun and to make sure the birds were still there.
