This week 50 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 21 were first timers and 12 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 3 different clubs took part. It was again quieter than normal due to the summer holidays but was a wonderful morning with a mixture of regulars, first timers and tourists who came from Australia, South Africa, Poland, Slovakia and the UK. Several of whom joined us afterwards at Handwerk Botaniske. The very essence of parkrun was shown when the lovely Sandy from South Africa who had recently had a hip replacement enjoyed walking the course with plenty staying to cheer her on, and our runners congratulating each other at the finish line. Axle Walø continues his 100% record.
The event was made possible by 9 volunteers:
Sharon BOWMAN • Rachel ATKINSON • Steven QUINCE • Mark WHITE • Kathrine KARBØL • Anne Lise BUEERAT • Marek PUZNIAK • Paola NÆRUM • Julie White GJERDE
