Despite the fall in temperature in the preceding days the skies cleared, and the sun came out on Saturday morning to ensure perfect running conditions, resulting in 10 new Personal Bests and a new course record.
In total 44 people ran, jogged and walked the course, and we were pleased to welcome 10 first timers, including parkrun tourists from Brighton and Leicester in the UK.
Afterwards it was great to see that many people met at the Handwerk Botaniske cafe to enjoy a coffee and cake together.
Oddvar Røsten was also present on Saturday, but instead of running this week he was taking photos and reporting on the event for Kondis. His article and photos from Saturday can be found here:

The female record is held by Amy MARTIN who recorded a time of 21:21 on 7th October 2017 (event number 7).
The male record is held by Runar SAETHER who recorded a time of 16:58 on 11th November 2017 (event number 12).
The Age Grade course record is held by Runar SAETHER who recorded 81.63% (16:58) on 11th November 2017 (event number 12).
Tøyen parkrun started on 26th August 2017. Since then 355 participants have completed 770 parkruns covering a total distance of 3,850 km, including 150 new Personal Bests.
